Local transport

A small ferry crosses the bay to San Antonio town from a jetty 50 metres along the seafront. It Ieaves every half hour during daylight in the summer, and takes around ten minutes

Public buses pass nearby and can be used to go into San Antonio, Ibiza town, or to Cala Bassa beach

Taxi’s are widely available and pass the apartment frequently.

Car and bike hire

A car gives you the freedom to explore the island. Car hire at Ibiza airport is straightforward, but if you prefer to hire for just a couple of days there are a number of rental offices within walking distance of the apartment

Bear in mind that parking within the apartment complex is possible, but it can be difficult to get a spot. Sometimes it is necessary to park a couple of hundred metres away on a side road

Bike hire is available just a short walk from the apartment

Shopping

There is a small local supermarket across the road which sells basic supplies including fresh bread daily

Along the main road leading towards San Antonio there are many shops selling all the usual holiday wares, and some clothing

For proper clothes shopping, the trip to Ibiza town will be worth the effort. Sophisticated shops line the streets around the center and up into the old town, selling high quality goods with prices to match

Throughout the island of Ibiza there are many local markets. One of the best known is the Hippy Market which takes place every Wednesday near the town of Es Cana
